This event is now fully booked
This face-to-face teachmeet, led by Georgina Jackson, will be focus heavily on the GCSE Speaking exam. The session will include:
- A thorough overview of marking and moderating against assessment criteria.
- Sharing of CPD on how to prepare for the speaking exam.
- Consider how we can develop genuine spontaneous speech, with examples and emerging success stories shared by schools across the region.
This will be a fantastic occasion to speak with colleagues and practise these new skills.
This face-to-face event will be run three times to support as many teachers as possible to attend.

18th November 2025. Session led by the Trent and Tame Language Network at Arthur Terry School, B74 4RZ between 13.00 – 16.00.

Join the team from the Trent and Tame Language Network to reflect on the progress you and your team are making with spontaneous speech. During this virtual session, we’ll consider how we can use AI to support the students in our classroom to develop confidence and competence when speaking spontaneously.
Positioned after mock speaking exams, this session will give teachers ideas and sufficient time to introduce something tangible into lessons, homework or intervention plans to impact on the current year 11 cohort, taking their GCSE in summer 2026.
